Blainville, March 4, 2020 – APG-Neuros proudly received last week the Water & Energy Innovation Award at the WEX Global 2020 – Circular Economy conference in Valencia, Spain. The award recognized the innovations the company brought forward to the wastewater treatment industry over the past 15 years and especially related to the development and delivery in 2019 of the 1 MW (1350 HP) High Efficiency Turbo Blower, first of its kind in the world.

Thank you to the Metro Wastewater Reclamation District (MWRD), the dedicated APG-Neuros team and our suppliers that worked together to bring the 1 MW Turbo Blower from idea to its first ever installation at MWRD in Denver, Colorado. The two teams have been working closely to develop, install and test the first, single core 1 megawatt high speed Turbo blower (APGN 1350).

APG-Neuros owes its success to Metro Wastewater Reclamation District, the co-recipient of this award for accepting to install and test the first 1 MW (1350 HP, 30,000 SCFM) Turbo Blower. After successful witness testing, the 1 MW Turbo blower was delivered in December 2019 and was installed in January 2020 at the Robert W. Hite Treatment Facility (Metro Wastewater Reclamation District). The 1 MW Turbo blower provides MWRD with a unique opportunity to evaluate the performance of a new technology at a relevant scale. When compared to the centrifugal blower predecessors, this turbo blower design may offer a dramatically simpler, lower-maintenance machine at a lower installed cost, with potential for higher energy efficiency.
